The conventions of an opening sequence are Camera movement, shot type, fast pace editing, lighting, sound. The conventions include close ups of the main character to make them look more spooky and make them look mysterious and to create an effect on the audience that would want to make the audience to watch on, the effect that it creates for the audience is that it would make them ask questions about the main character like who they are, what they are doing and what do they look like. Sound is important to an opening sequence because it creates atmosphere and as soon as the film begins to allow the audience to know that the film has started and allow them to get interested in the film from the very beginning. the camera movement is important because it allows the audience to understand the summary of the film and if the close ups is used they would want to know more and in that case want to watch the whole film to find out the answers to their questions.
