costume, props and location
The costume is a grey Hoodie, blue jeans, black canvas shoes
Prop mobile phone to create an eerie effect because we are going to use it for the main character to answer and this will make the audience ask questions about who is on the phone and what do they want.
Casting - Ben Wakley
We have chosen ben to play the other man that followed Angel because he does Btec Drama and that allows him to capture the exact emotions of the character.
Titles
We chose many different font, but we couldn't choose all of them. We wanted to use three different type and these are the ones we preferred.
Initial Ideas
The really good location idea we had was the forest, the reason for this was because it creates a mysterious atmosphere which would intrigue the audience and ensure the security of their attention. The best prop we have would be a threatening note saying; "Your Time is Up!" which would force the audience to ask the question of what would happen which would also make them want to watch more of the film.

Locations
This would be a good location for a for the opening sequence beacause not many people go down there and this makes it look exotic location and this would make the thriller seem more tense and would give it more atmosphere because of the kind of place and the path leads to a woods area where not many people go down. this would be a good opening sequence location because this would get the audience involved because they would be wanting to know what will happen to him once he has got to the end of the tunnel and they would be wanting to what is going to happen to the person once he has got closer to the bottom and the audience would want to know where the path leads to. The shots that would be good to use would be close up's to hide the idenity of the main charecter until necessary and mid shot to allow the audience to see the type of location the person is walking in.
The woods would be a good location for many dangerous thins happen in the wood, the wood doesn't give too much and it allows tention and atmosphere to build up, the audience would feel like they are part of it because they would fell for the person walking into the woods. The location is a good location because not many people go into the woods it would help the audience to understand clearly that danger might happend or that it would get the audience to ask questions about what is going to happen to the person and why is he walking into the woods. the shots that would go with this location close ups to hide the location and the main charecter to the location to make it more tense. the way to edit the scene to make it look more easy is to be more tense would be to use jump cuts to allow the scene to be shown from different parts and to be used in different types of angles to make it look more realistic and to give it great effect onto the audience.
this location would be good for the opening sequence because it gives the effect that something bad is going to happen to the person and this would make the audience ask questions about the scene like why is he walking down the path on his own and why is he looking really nervous this would help the audience to get invovled because he is walking down a path in the middle of nowhere near a wood and he is on his own this would make the audience think that something is going to happen and something might happned once he hits the woods and once he is in the woods would he be in danger. the shot would be close up to allow the audience to only see the body language of the person to make the audience suggest about there is something bothering him and that he is worried that something might happen to him.

conventions of a thriller opening sequence
The conventions of an opening sequence are Camera movement, shot type, fast pace editing, lighting, sound. The conventions include close ups of the main character to make them look more spooky and make them look mysterious and to create an effect on the audience that would want to make the audience to watch on, the effect that it creates for the audience is that it would make them ask questions about the main character like who they are, what they are doing and what do they look like. Sound is important to an opening sequence because it creates atmosphere and as soon as the film begins to allow the audience to know that the film has started and allow them to get interested in the film from the very beginning. the camera movement is important because it allows the audience to understand the summary of the film and if the close ups is used they would want to know more and in that case want to watch the whole film to find out the answers to their questions.
Pulp Fction titlwe sequence
The music used in the opening sequence is an american music dramatic up beat and is fast pace that makes the audience excited and it would make them happy. The colours create an effect on the audience because they are bright and colourful and bright colours allow the audience to be happy and makes them want to watch the audience on because using high key lighting creates a different efftect on the audience than low key light because the more high it is the more happy the audience would feel watching the film and the more low key lighting the more exciting the film would be for the audience. The titles appear on the screen at the same pace as the music and in different shot like the first title appears while the background is bright yellow and it is with someone hold a gun and the nexted title appears in a spray of blood on the screen. The titles appear ont the screen in many different bright colours to show that the film isn't all violent it is more funny aswell shown through the blood shot and the bright colours which contrast and come across as a happy feeling.
Psycho title sequence
The music for this opening sequence fast pace and sinister this creates an eerie tention atmopshere, the music is played is an high pitched violin sound high pitched and the music creates an effect on different people and it makes them want to watch on. The titles appear onto the screen in blade moving across the screen and the titles appear on a black background in white bold writing and it creates a different effect ontot he audience. the Titles appear on the screen at the same pace as the music ths makes the film have a sinister and a more eerie effect onto the audience. The knives cuts the titles off the screen.

comparing title sequence and trailer
The trailer and opening sequence i have chosen to do is blade, i chose blade because it is an high action pact film fall of fight scenes and a lot of weapons.
The trailer for blade is an high action pact sequence that is full of quick actions between the main character that is in different locations because in one scene he is fight and then it quickly moves to another shot where he is talking to about what he is going to do. The editing used is fast paced to make the audience watching the trailer at home ask themselves questions about why is he fighting and what he is doing to by smashing through a window on a motor bike and why he is killing particular people, the fast editing used makes the audience want to go and watch the film blade.
The opening sequence for blade II is quiet slow with each shot lasting laster longer than the trailer for blade 1 last, the opening sequence tells a story about who the main charecter is and how be became half vampire and half human and about what has happened in the last blade film, also while the shots are going on there is a voice over from the main charecter explaining what each shot shows and explains what happened in the last film and what he is going to do in this film. The name's of the actors are appeared slowly on the screen in read writing to create the sinister because it looks like the names appear in blood colour becasue the film is about vampires.

The Similarites and Differenties Spiderwick Chronicles and Thriller
The similarites for the spiderwick chronicles and the thriller is they hide the charecters and gradually starts to show them this allows the audience want to watch more because they would want to know who the main charecter is and they would want to know the type of main charecter they are and what they are doing this keeps the audience active and makes them feel thy are part of the film. they both use fast pace editing to create effect for the audience and make them want to watch on. to create atmosphere they use low key lighting to help to build mood aswell as atmopshere.
the differents between the action adventure and the thriller is there are more close ups used to allow the identity of the main charecter to be hidden and to allow the audience to be given clues about the main charecter and who they are. the Title in the action adventre is a representation of a spider to create the effect of the title spiderwick chronicles more. the colour of the title stand out more against the dark background.
Bridget Jones Diary Opening Sequence
The opening sequence starts with a mid shot showing her after christmas eating food and the shot shows a happy high key lighting setting, this is different from a thriller because a thriller starts with low key lighting and gives clues about the identity of the main charecter, with a rom-com they show the identity of the main charecter straight away. after the mid the camrea tracks the main charecters movement as she walks towards the camrea, as she walks there is a voice over of the main charecter talking to the audience her thoughts. this is different to a thriller because they don't use a voice over and they create a different audience effect and they make the audience show different emotions towards the main charecter and ask many questions.
The similarites between a thriller and rom-com is that they both introduce the main charecter either straight away or straight as the openign sequence starts, when the music starts playing it creates atmospher and creates the mood of the film for the audience. the setting is shown in the first shot and this allows the audience to start to get clues about what has happend and about the genre of film it is and allows the audience to understand it more.

wallander opening sequence
There is a slight drumming sound along with the sound of the wind and sea beacuse the camrea is placed in an helicopter and flown over the sea towards the nexted shot of the main land. The camrea moves closely towards the main land which is empty this shows that is must be the country side the camrea shot that is used is an exstreme long shot. The camrea still starts tracking towards a car which two people are shown to be walking away from the car. There is a cut between the shot of the car door open to the shot of the back of the two people walking off the people walking off makes the audience think about why are they running? where have they came from and have they come from the car. They keep their identity hidden in a mid shot, both people walking away are young female teenagers and they both look dangerous, the camrea follows them. the shot cuts to a shot of the person in the car, there is blood on the screen which shows that there might have been a car crash this makes the audeince think about what has happened and what has happened, the car is parked in the middle of no where. there is a close up of the head on the steering wheel. the shot cuts to another shot where the camrea is placed at the side of the two girls which have emotionless faces, there is blood on there faces this links them to the car this makes the audience think what have they done? did they cause the accident to the man in the car. one of the girls looks cold and the other looks anxious, the girl that looks cold is shown to be the more important one than the other girl. there is another cut of the mans face this shows that he has alot of cuts on his face this is shown in a exstreme close up, his eyes flicker open to show that he is not dead but might be soon to show this he is breathing heavily. to show that the girl is cold she has an old fashioned razor around his neck. big close up of the girls, the man is shown as a family man not an evil person. to show that the girls cause the injuries to the man they use a close up of one of the girls dropping a knife, as they drop the knife this gets the audience asking questions about why have they done what they have done? and did they know the man they have tried to kill in the car.
